Chess is probably the MOST PLAYED game in our collection. It’s classic for a reason. We have several sets, but none is as well-loved as this themed Toy Story chess set.
Each specialized piece has a small picture of the corresponding traditional piece on its base. You might think it would be difficult to remember which piece goes where and does what, but that genius design element solves the problem! My kids quickly memorized the new piece assignments and have no problem playing and keeping everything straight. Yours won’t either!
My bigger boys (9 and 11) aren’t too big for Toy Story. They love the set and playing with all their favorite characters from the movies is so much fun!
My little ones who haven’t learned how to play yet just love to play with the pieces. They use them as little action figures and love to find their individualized places in the box. They can play with these pieces for hours!
Don’t let those cheerful cartoon pieces fool you. This game is still serious business!
The pawns are the green army guys and the little green men (aliens) – the perfect choices for those front line pieces!

This iconic chess set would be a great first set or would thrill some collector/Toy Story lover. The pieces are super high quality and so much fun to play with!
