*TEN FISH* Math Card Game

Ten Fish is a more mathy version of the classic Go Fish game, and is adorable with the fish theme! Each card uses a 10 Frame, which is visually really useful for budding mathematicians.

Just like in regular Go Fish, the goal of the game is to create sets, only in Ten Fish, instead of creating sets of cards all the same number, you want to create sets of cards that all add up to 10.

Sets must be made up of at least 2 cards but more works too! This is a fantastic card game for kids to practice those fundamental sums of 10 math facts and get so fast and familiar with them without any hard work or tears! Learning these math facts by playing Ten Fish really doesn’t feel like work at all, it’s as easy as play! :)

Players take turns asking other players for a card they want to use to make a 10 with a card or cards they already have in their hand. If the player they ask doesn’t have the card they are asking for, they draw a card from The Pool.

The last time we played this game, one of them ended up without any cards in the middle of the game and the other one only had one card, so they spent about a minute asking each other for that one card and laughing and laughing about it.

Learning happens best when kids are having fun, and clearly, their minds are open and happy and soaking up all these sums of 10 math facts without even knowing it! That’s the power of playing games for math time. Thanks to @AbsoluteZeroGame for sharing this one with us!
