Dice games are so much fun to play with kids, grandparents, anyone really. They’re easy to learn, not too intense or strategic, quick, and so much fun!
Strike Dice can be played by up to 5 players with kids as young as 3. As long as they can take turns and count dots, even preschool kids can play this game!
A single die is rolled into the game box (arena) to begin and the oldest player goes first.
On a turn, players must roll at least 1 die. Any matching dice are added to that player’s personal stash of dice. If an X is rolled, that die is permanently removed from the game.
If no match is made, the active player can continue throwing as many of their own dice in to the arena as they like, one at a time, until they run out of dice or two or more dice match. Once a match is made and removed, it is the next player’s turn.
Play continues around and around until only 1 player remains with dice.
There is one more fun rule: If at any time all the dice in the arena match and are removed, the NEXT player MUST roll ALL his die into the arena and may only take out/keep matches. If none match, that player is out!
Strike Dice is a fun and quick GAMESCHOOL game to play in connection with math and probability during school time and all the time just for fun! And Strike Dice would make a great Christmas gift if you’re still looking for ideas. :) Thanks so much to Ravensburger for sharing it with us!
