It’s great to find a science resource that kids enjoy but that can also be used in conjunction with a variety of different topics throughout the year. Earth science is such a broad topic, I actually use this particular Professor Noggin trivia box (which we always love!) to narrow down such a broad topic. It’s nice to have a concise list of concepts to build a science unit around and make sure we cover volcanoes, canyons, caves, erosion, weather, rocks, and more. There is so much good stuff in this box!
Earth science is actually a topic that my kids aren’t as excited to study until we get into it. But they always love trivia questions and they learn so much by asking each other questions and reading the answers. Sometimes they are dying to know more so we spend some time following those awesome rabbit trails of curiosity.
Every time we use one of these trivia games, my kids share a few tidbits of newly acquired information. Kids love to KNOW stuff and games are such a great way to help them learn in a way that feels like play!
Thanks to Professor Noggin for sharing these wonderful resources with us!
