{We have our winners! The winner for the Seagate FreeAgent Go for PC is Kimberly R who said, “What a wonderful gift idea. We have so many photos of our children on our old PC it would be wonderful to put them in one location that is easy to locate and safe from computer crashes. We teasingly call my husband the “gadget guru” he loves all sorts of computer and electronic stuff. We celebrated our 24th wedding anniversay on the 8th of June – can’t imagine life without him.” I hope he likes this Father’s Day gift!
And the winner of the FreeAgent Go for Mac is Erin. She said, “I would love to win the FreeAgent GoDrive for Mac! Ever since my son was born, I have become a picture taking fool! It would be nice to have a seperate, safe place to store all of my pictures!“
Contact me ASAP with your mailing address (kelsey[at]vanillajoy[dot]com) so we can get you your prizes before Father’s Day. Thanks!}

MY REVIEW
Seagate is a brand I completely trust for computer storage. Both the FreeAgent Go and the Replica are high quality, reliable, user friendly drives that keep all my irreplaceable information, pictures, and videos backed up and safe.
The FreeAgent Go portable drive is a new member of the Seagate FreeAgent family. It is their first product that has been designed specifically for both PC and Mac users. I am a PC person myself, but I know Mac people will appreciate this new product that is specifically designed to suit their external storage needs.
The great thing about Seagate external storage products is that they are pre-installed with all the necessary software. This is a huge selling point for me – I don’t get all the complicated installation stuff, and with Seagate products, I don’t have to know anything except for how to plug the device into my computer. Easy. And again, this is the first Seagate product that has software pre-installed for Mac computers as well as PCs.
In the FreeAgent Go for Mac box, available on June 24, you’ll get the following
- FreeAgent Go drive
- Desktop dock
- Travel Case
- Firewire 800 cable
- Firewire 800 to400 cable
- USB cable
- USB power cable
- Quick start guide
The FreeAgent Go for PC will be available June 15, and you’ll get:
- FreeAgent Go drive
- FreeAgent software pre-loaded on drive (Windows only)
- Quickstart guide
- Flexible USB travel cable – 18 inches
- Piano black docking station
The PC version comes in your choice of red, blue, silver, or black, and both come with a docking station, which means no fumbling with cords. Leave the docking station plugged in and have easy access to all your files.
Everybody needs a good external drive to backup all those important files, especially the Dads & Grads in your life! The FreeAgent Go is my first choice for an external backup storage solution!
