{The Bosch winner is Deb Anderson! She said, “Wow, this little gadget is powerful enough to crush ice!! So my first thought is to use it for making drinks like frozen margaritasā¦ er, I mean fruit smoothies. :) I love making cheese dip with diced tomatoes and green chilies, but I find that even diced the pieces are sometimes too big. This would be ideal for getting the ingredients just the way I want them without the bother of dragging out that humongous food processor.”
The runner up is Dacia, who said, “I visited their site and I love Bosch. I would use the Bosch for milkshakes and a million other things!”

MY REVIEW
An immersion blender is a small kitchen appliance I use all the time – for canning and making jams and applesauce and for everyday meals like spaghetti sauce and beans.
I got to try out the Bosch Mixxo, a cordless immersion blender, and it is so easy to use and gives me great results. I made that delicious tomato cream sauce picture above for our pasta last week and I usually leave the tomatoes and onions in chunks, but this time I decided to try making it even more creamy and delicious with the Mixxo. The blended version of this already fabulous pasta sauceĀ is the way of the future!
The Mixxo is a great immersion blender for lots of reasons. For starters, it’s cordless. That makes it so much easier to use and easier to clean. The blade detaches from the motor/handle section so you don’t have to worry about getting water where it shouldn’t be, which means you can actually get it clean!
The Mixxo is also powerful enough to blend to a smooth and creamy texture. It has a good battery life and when it is charging time, the charger can be mounted on the wall to save space or rest on your counter.
This stick/immersion blender also comes with a clear plastic mixing beater, great for smoothies, milkshakes, sauces, and more. It also comes with a mini chopper (works just like a food process, just smaller) that is perfect for making salsa or just chopping up vegetables for your main dish.
As always, Bosch makes some of the highest quality kitchen appliances available. Their customer service is great and their products last. Thanks, Bosch!
