It has been snowing like crazy here in Utah. I don’t actually love the weather but I do love bundling up in my favorite jackets and coats, wearing thick warm socks and drinking hot cocoa like it’s water.
My favorite pair of sleeves this season is the Marmot Leadville jacket – it’s super light weight, it doesn’t feel heavy enough to actually be warm, but it totally is. I can wear it out in the windy snow with just a long sleeved tee underneath and I’m good.
The fabric is a Marmot special – it’s Windproof GORE® WINDSTOPPER® that completely blocks out the wind and keeps your body heat insulated. In cold weather, it’s totally the wind that kills, and this Windproof jacket cuts the wind and keeps me warm. Because it’s lightweight it’s perfect for medium to cold outdoor adventures.
For warmer days, the WINDSTOPPER membrane wicks moisture away from your body and allows it to escape, keeping you dry and ready to go.
Besides being Windproof, the fabric is stretchy, breathable, and comfortable moving and working with me for whatever activity in whatever kind of weather. It’s stretchy polyester on one side and a quick drying fleece on the other with a unique water repellent finish for added weather protection.
There are plenty of interior and exterior pockets, venting side panels, an elastic draw cord hem, and angel-wing movement that keeps the jacket moving with you but stops it riding up.
And finally, the colors! Love those contrasting zippers and the bright, fun, energetic colors all around.
I love having a jacket that is all-weather and can stick with me as winter melts away into Spring. Here’s hoping for warmer temperatures and more outdoor adventure!
