I’m not very good at reading instruction manuals, so it took me a while to come across my favorite feature of my Canon Rebel XSi camera.
In any of the manual modes, you can adjust the white balance by pressing the WB button. You can choose from the following settings:
- daylight
- shade
- cloudy
- tungsten light
- white flourscent light
- flash
- custom
This one setting makes such a huge difference in my pictures as it allows me to use the flash less and therefore get better quality photos. All of my best and favorite photos have been taken in manual mode with an adjusted white balance. I think this picture I used the cloudy setting because we were inside but there was lots of natural light, just not direct.
I love how easy Canon makes the semi-manual camera settings to use for amateurs like me!
