Money may not buy happiness, but it can buy organization, and as a busy mom with small children it’s almost the same thing.
Before Linus was born I realized that I had to get a grip on our toy situation. We had toys on all 3 floors in our home and they were somewhat organized but…not well enough.
As has become my habit lately, I went to IKEA.com looking for a solution and found TROFAST, the perfect IKEA toy storage system and our newly dedicated play area. There are probably many toy storage ideas out there but this one is working great for us now.
We got three of these frames ($39.99 each) and enough white storage bins for all our toys. The bins come in small, medium, and large sizes and in about 6 different colors so I made a list of everything we needed to store and figured out how many of which size from there.
The toy bins are reasonably priced at $3, $4, and $5 and you can buy lids too!
The beautiful thing about this system is that it’s easy for the kids to keep the toys organized. The buckets are easy to get in and out so they can play independently and since every different type of toy has its own bucket it’s easy to clean up and for them to find what they’re looking for.
I love how organized this looks, how easy it is to label the buckets, and how successful the system is at helping us stay organized.
The TROFAST system includes frames of all different sizes and finishes and you can get shelves to put in the brackets instead of buckets which makes this system so versatile!
IKEA calls themselves the Life Improvement Store and they are that for me! My life and our schedule and all of our stuff is so much easier to manage with IKEA’s well designed and functional storage solutions. The more time I spend at IKEA, the more organized my house gets and the more I feel in control of my life and all of our stuff. Organization is so empowering for me. When our stuff is managed, life is good.
These are a few life improvement items at the top of my IKEA wish list…maybe Christmas will come early this year!!!
Keep up with IKEA:
