I used to be indifferent to Halloween and the beginning of fall, but every year I love October a little bit more. All the costumes and parties and fun, festive goodies shared between friends and neighbors has really grown on me and made me welcome the changing seasons and the approaching holidays. We’ve been working on making our house look a little spookier in anticipation of Halloween. With all the fun projects and crafts and decorations we’ve been doing to spread the Halloween spooky spirit, we’ve noticed that with fall and the approaching holidays, cheer isn’t the only thing that is spreading like crazy. It’s germs. Again. We’ve already gotten sick and it’s just miserable! We’re remembering some of our favorite tips to kill the germs before they kill our holiday fun. We’re trying to remember to
- wash our hands frequently with warm soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after we’ve been out and about or will be touching any food items
- do the elbow cough
- follow other standard health guidelines like eating lots of fruits and veggies and getting plenty of sleep
The holidays mean parties and company, so before and after hosting guests, remember to disinfect germ hot spots like doorknobs, light switches, TV remotes, faucets, and plastic toys. Our go to is Clorox Disinfecting Wipes – they’re quick and easy for any member of our young family to use. And for the parties we attend away from home or on any holiday trips, we’ll be bringing our own Clorox Disinfecting Wipes to use on-the-go. We wipe down hard surfaces in the car, hands, tray tables, or anything else that may be touched or handled by many people.

Traveling can be extra risky when it comes to germs – according to a CNN Travel article, airplanes are notoriously bad germ hot-spots. If you’ll be flying this holiday season, bring your Clorox Disinfecting Wipes! And use them generously – on the tray tables, seat backs and pockets, in the lavatory…any hard surface that you or your children will be near. And…don’t drink the water…
Because the holidays are an expensive time of year, we turn to Clorox Disinfecting Wipes most often. They’re inexpensive and hard wearing, so we can really get our moneys worth and still be confident we’re killing germs and staying healthy. Before this holiday season really gets into full, germ-spreading swing, stock your cleaning cupboard with a few canisters of Clorox Disinfecting Wipes. Use generously. And enjoy the holidays!
