MY REVIEW
Our family loves biking, and I grew up the old school Schwinn hybrid bikes with the HUGE and very comfortable seats. We got to review the Schwinn Trailblazer bike trailer last summer, so we’re pretty big fans of all things Schwinn.
This year I was lucky enough to receive the Schwinn women’s Midmoor hybrid bike to review, and riding pregnant could not possibly be more comfortable.
We took a little weekend vacation down to St. George a few weeks ago and brought along our bikes, and what a relaxing bit of recreation that was. This Midmoor bike is so gentle and easy on my increasingly pregnant body, I was able to ride comfortably and with ease. I can only imagine how lovely riding this bike will be after the baby is born!
The Midmoor hybrid bike frame allows the rider to ride upright, which is the most comfortable and leisurely way to ride a bike, pregnant or no. The 21 speed system makes riding uphill and down a breeze, and the shocks on this bike are top notch – we rode over some rough patches and to and from sidewalks, and…smooth sailing!
The upright posture and the shocks on the front fork and the seat are my two FAVORITE things about this bike, and here are some other great features:
The gear shifter is very smooth and easy to operate, and the gears shift seamlessly from one to the next. The seat is super cushy and the tires are about halfway in between the width of a mountain bike and a road bike, so less traction and more speed. And the front tire has a quick release lever to make transporting and storing the bike convenient.
Boyd is in need of a new bike this summer and…I’m pretty sure we’re going to find another Schwinn. Judging from the bikes my family had as a kid (and still have), Schwinn’s are durable, smooth, and fun!
Thanks to Schwinn for sponsoring this week’s giveaway & review!
