About
I’m Kelsey, proud mother of six boys, wife to my tall, handsome, and wonderful husband, and woman of leisure. I get to spend every day doing the things I love to do – blogging, crafting, and mothering! I also recently started helping a few hours a week with the marketing for the The Mindful Heart, a company with a very nice LDS homeschool curriculum.
I started this blog after some prodding from my internet marketer husband (he currently does internet marketing for Nozzle, which is an enterprise keyword rank tracker tool). He thought a blog for moms would be a great way to help others strengthen their families. SOooo, VanillaJoy is about family, motherhood, and me (or my craft projects, more specifically)! I hope to provide other mothers with helpful tips and information regarding parenting, motherhood, womanhood, and crafting.
My goal for this site is to share ideas about every day family living and also create a series of how-to craft tutorials for sewing, bookbinding, cooking, and many other projects that you can do with and for your family – so keep checking back and sign up for my RSS feed as I slowly get my how-to library rolling!
VanillaJoy is meant to be a celebration of every day life and to help us all find joy in the simple things we often grumble about or take for granted. I hope to create a community where we can all help each other find meaning in the mundane and routine things we do each day because it is in those things that our families function and thrive.
