Whiplash Injury Compensation
I’ve been thinking a lot lately about our sue happy society. And I got to tell you that overall it frustrates me to no end on how quickly people think to sue. But tonight I was thinking about what would I do if I got injured or my wife or children in a car accident. Would I sue?
My initial thought was an immediate, NO. But after I deliberated over the issue awhile and really tried to put myself in that situation, I came to the decision–it depends. Each situation is different and I think that I would sue in certain situations and I wouldn’t in other situations.
The more serious the injury, the more likely I’d sue.
My brother got in a car accident a few years ago. He was stopped at a stop light one morning on the way to work and some other driver rammed right into the back of him going about 40 mph. The driver didn’t even hit the brakes from what I heard. To say the least, he had a serious whiplash injury. To this day he still has back pains on occasion as a result of that accident.
I don’t believe that he sued. I never really thought about it until now. I wonder if he ever received compensation for his whiplash injury. I think I’ll go and ask him.
I guess I’ll close by saying this…pray about it…pray really hard and sincerely. If you still feel you should sue after that, then by all means, file a claim and go after the compensation that you need to help you to at least financially recover. The payout might just be what you need and deserve. Just don’t be hasty to decide to sue immediately. Society could do with fewer lawyers and attorneys.
Just my two cents!
