MegaBloks First Builders are the perfect building block into toy for toddlers as young as one year. We’ve been using the colorful 1-2-3 Learning Train (available this spring in stores) to teach Linus all about numbers and shapes while we build.
We had lots of helpers at first. Everybody wanted to take a turn!
Linus finally got to enjoy the train on his own and play around with the three big wheel train bases and special train parts. We found all the numbered blocks, put them in order, and matched up the shape blocks on the other side. Linus knows his numbers from 1-10 but hasn’t learned their written form, so this has been great to introduce that to him.
My favorite blocks in this 44 piece set are the three big building plates – they’re our first ones and all three of my boys have been using them to build sturdy bases for their towers and as roofs for their castles.
We built a little train station for the train to drive through too. CHOOCHOOOOOOO!!!
Like all MegaBloks sets, these blocks are compatible with any other blocks of the same large size. I LOVE the color scheme of the blocks – bright and gender neutral, very cute and perfect for our creative play!
Like many of the MegaBloks First Builders sets, this one is a great teaching tool for the youngest builders!
