TARGET!
I hit the $1 bins every time we have a birthday party or road trip and always find great seasonal and educational items for the kid – I picked up these great kid’s sunglasses and twisty straws for our most recent road trip and they were a huge hit!
My favorite time of year to shop at Target is summer though – everything is so colorful and bright and cheery and summery! I love the ambiance of a summer Target – they have everything we need for all our summer gatherings, parties, and celebrations.
My favorite summer department at Target is Kitchen & Dining. I love the fresh, colorful, fun, and inexpensive lines of dishes and serving ware and I can ALWAYS find something I need.
I got these summery strawberry melamine dinner plates and tumblers at Target this season, and they have really brightened up our summer gatherings. We most recently used them for a niece’s birthday party at the birthday girl’s request – there’s nothing quite like a set of bright dinnerware to liven up a party!
I also got this melamine serving bowl with a bamboo lid with matching salad spoons. We brought it to our family reunion this summer and used it at every meal – it’s the perfect size (and color) and the salad spoons are a nice wood with colored handles. This picture is from our 4th of July luncheon at my paternal grandparent’s house. My grandmother loves to entertain (especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren) and she loved the bowl too!
Target has so many great dinner- and serving ware lines, I wish I could buy all new sets every summer! There are always so many choices with great colors and patterns. I love modern, fashionable, and affordable summer choices at Target!
