Giveaway #14 is really more for you, Mom. Although you could put your kids to work, but they might have too much fun with this…
THE PRIZE
Electrolux is giving away the funky green Rapido Hand Vacuum ($49.99) to one of you!
MY REVIEW
Vacuuming is not one of my favorite chores. In fact, we require all residents and visitors to remove their shoes upon entrance and we do not eat on the carpet to minimize the amount of vacuuming necessary. I dislike it that much.
And the car. Before kids, our cars used to be fairly clean, but now there are several pounds of cracker crumbs, fruit snacks, toe lint, and all sorts of other filthy and disgusting dirt particles surrounding around the car seat. And honestly, it didn’t get cleaned up all that often because it’s truly a pain to lug a whole vacuum cleaner outside in the snow to tidy things up.
Enter the Rapido Hand Vacuum. When there’s no cord to trip over, no 50 pound piece of machinery to take outside, vacuuming isn’t too bad. I actually don’t mind vacuuming with this little beauty because it’s so easy!
Having a lightweight hand vacuum around has really helped me keep things cleaner around the house. For example, the other day I cut my son’s toenails without worrying where they went and just vacuumed that little area after. I would not have lugged my full sized vacuum cleaner up 2 flights of stairs to do that. Sad, but true.
And we’re keeping our new Cosco convertible car seat in brand new condition because I can quickly and painlessly clean up those little messes in the car as they happen.
I have used the Rapido much more than I thought I would because it is so handy and convenient. It’s not scary to my son – it sounds more like a hair dryer than a vacuum. The little wheels on the front make it glide smoothly across carpet and hard surfaces, and the dust catcher on the inside is super easy to empty. There are several attachments housed right inside the charger to accomodate any type of cleanup you might need, and the charger can stand alone or be mounted on the wall.
The whole thing is just brilliant, and for only $50 it’s reasonable too. Thanks, Electrolux!
