These appliqued dish towels were my neighbor gifts this Christmas, and they were even easier than the bath towel! I chose patterns that had more angles than curves so the edge stitching would be easier. (The flower and leave patterns are from Walk in My Garden and the bird is from Home Decor.)
The process is the same, apply heat and bond to the fabric, cut out the design, adhere to the towel, and edge stitch. I also added some decorative edge stitching around the whole towel that you can see – a simple zigzag stitch. I did a fabric border on the one on the right.
I’m all about unique and inexpensive gifts, and there are going to be great for the coming year!
